Pricing Analyst

Role Overview:

Pricing expertise is a new competency we are building within Informa Plc. Informa Connect is a division within Informa selling events, media, and subscriptions. The Pricing Analyst role is a new one which will contribute to the company's financial success by ensuring that pricing decisions are data-driven and aligned with the organisation's goal of applying value-based pricing strategies to increase revenue and improve margin.

We are looking for an experienced Pricing, Revenue or Commercial Analyst to work aspart of the central support team as well as closely with brands to influence and support their pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Pricing Sign off Process for Informa Connect's Top revenue producers (Millionaire's Club - MC Events.)
    • Liaise with key stakeholders and teams to maintain weekly tracker of sign off progress to ensure ability to achieve sign off timelines.
    • Organise briefing meetings where needed to ensure all key stakeholders are aligned and clear on responsibilities.
    • Work closely with the data team to develop timelines for data requirements and to streamline the data inputs.
    • Review all data for accuracy and insights before circulating to key stakeholders.
    • Support the sales teams in their review of the inventory and setting price recommendations.

  • Monitor and evaluate pricing and revenue performance.
    • Develop and maintain reports which track key pricing metrics such as recommended versus implemented price and implemented versus achieved price.
    • Support the identification and development of additional key metrics.

  • Support development & deployment of frameworks.
    • Brief teams on use of pricing calculator to ensure understanding and good adoption.
    • Support development of new frameworks such as Pricing Calculator Variations (e.g. B2C) and package frameworks

  • Conduct analysis as required to support price recommendations such as benchmarking core products, Delegate Pricing analysis, etc...

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Pricing Analyst, Revenue Analyst or Commercial Analystin a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or other statistical software.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and revenue management principles.
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets, and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
