- Hours: Up to 40 per hours per week term time and up to 20 hours per week during school holidays (job share will be considered)

Copdock and Washbrook Preschool is looking to appoint an inspiring, dedicated and motivated Preschool Manager to join us in our preschool and out of school club. To start from September, or earlier, if possible, to enable a handover and induction. Applicants will need to show excellent knowledge of and work within the requirements of the Early Years Statutory Framework, have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection and be able to follow and implement the policies and procedures of the setting
We are a small, but very busy Preschool and wrap around care business. Our aim is to provide quality care and learning for all children. We are committed to providing all children with experiences to support their individual needs and are well resourced with a fabulous outside area to offer a range of learning opportunities for all children. We support one another as we work to provide a quality learning experience for all our children in a fun and nurturing environment.
The current opening hours are 7.45am - 6pm, Monday - Thursday and 7.45am - 4.30 pm on Fridays during term time. In school holidays we are open from 8am till 4.30pm, 3 days a week.
Your responsibilities
- managing the Preschool and Out of School Club
- leading, managing and inspiring the fantastic staff team, including inductions and supervisions, team meetings etc
- continuous monitoring of quality and standards of the provision, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed to meet all legislative and EYFS requirements.
You will need:
- a full and relevant Level 4 Childcare qualification and the willingness to train
- excellent leadership and communication skills, competently liaising with staff, parents and other professionals
- flexibility, teamwork, and be supportive of other practitioners in the setting
- experience in management
- excellent working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- dedication and a commitment to maintain the highest standards in childcare
- commitment and passion to promoting the ethos and values of the school and getting the best outcomes for all children.
