Copdock and Washbrook Preschool are looking to appoint a Preschool Manager.

As Preschool Manager you will, lead and inspire the preschool team, manage the preschool and wrap-around care sessions and provide quality education and care for all young children in attendance.

Hours of work during term time can be spread across 4 days between 7.45am - 6pm Monday - Wednesday and 7.45am - 6pm on Fridays. During summer holidays hours can be spread across 2 days between 7.45am - 4.45pm, with the option to take on additional hours to cover absent staff and office hours.

We hope to provide flexibility, but the ability to work some early starts and late finishes will be required.

You will:

  • be responsible for the day to day running of the preschool to ensure it provides a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment and play based curriculum
  • lead, support and inspire the small team of dedicated staff, including inductions and supervisions and team meetings
  • provide continuous monitoring of quality and care standards of the provision, reflecting and improving practice to meet the needs of families and young children.
  • maintain compliance with all policies and procedures to meet all legislative and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards.

You will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 4 Childcare qualification and the willingness to train
  • Level 2 mathematics (or the willingness to train)
  • 2 years' experience in management
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
  • Commitment to maintain the highest standards in childcare
  • Effective communication and motivation skills to work with families, children and staff
  • The ability to lead and work as part of a team

We are a small, but very busy preschool and wrap-around care business.

Our aim is to provide quality care and learning for all children. We are committed to providing all children with meaningful play-based experiences to support their individual needs.

We are a well-resourced setting with a fabulous outside area, where children can play and learn together.

The preschool is open 7.45am - 6pm Monday - Thursday and 7.45am - 4.30pm on Fridays during term time. In school holidays we are open from 8am - 4.30pm, 3 days a week. We are closed between Christmas and New Year and for the first week in August.

We offer early morning breakfast club for children who attend Copdock school, Preschool places between 9 and 3 and extended afterschool care until 6pm.
