Job Description

• Copdock and Washbrook Preschool - Ipswich, Suffolk IP8 3LF
• Up to £30,000 pro rata (£16.15 per hour)
• Up to 40 hours per week, term time, Up to 20 hours per week in school holidays
• Full Time
• Permanent (Job share considered)
• Reference: 0211
• Required as soon as possible

Your role:

• To manage the preschool and wrap-around care
• To lead and inspire the preschool team
• To provide quality care and education for all young children

Your responsibilities:

• Day to day running of the preschool to ensure it provides a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment and play based curriculum.
• Lead, support and inspire the small team of dedicated staff, including inductions and supervisions and team meetings
• Continuous monitoring of quality and care standards of the provision. Reflecting and improving practice to meet the needs of families and young children.
• Maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures to meet all legislative and EYFS standards

You will need:

• Full and relevant Level 4 Childcare qualification and the willingness to train
• Level 2 maths (or the willingness to train)
• 2 years' experience in management
• Working knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
• Enthusiasm and commitment to maintain the highest standards in childcare
• Effective communication and motivation skills to work with families, children and staff
• The ability to lead and work as part of a team

About us

We are a small, but very busy preschool and wrap-around care business.

Our aim is to provide quality care and learning for all children. We are committed to providing all children with meaningful play-based experiences to support their individual needs.

We are a well resourced setting with a fabulous outside area, where children can play and learn together.

The preschool is open 7.45 - 6pm Monday - Thursday and 7.45am - 4.30pm on Fridays during term time. In school holidays we are open 8am till 4.30pm, 3 days a week. We are closed between Christmas and New Year and for the first week in August.

We offer early morning breakfast club for children who attend Copdock school, Preschool places between 9 and 3 and extended afterschool care until 6pm.
