Are you proactive, practical, and passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff? We are seeking a dedicated Premises Manager to join our team at The Haven CE Methodist Primary School.

As Premises Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of our school site. This includes planning and coordinating inspections, repairs, and statutory checks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across the premises. You will also liaise with contractors and oversee cleaning staff to ensure excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the upkeep of school buildings and grounds
  • Carrying out first-line repairs and maintenance
  • Overseeing statutory checks and service contracts (alarms, heating, PAT testing)
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance and maintaining risk assessments
  • Supporting school events and lettings
  • Managing cleaning staff and liaising with contractors

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities
  • Experience in building maintenance and health & safety compliance
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training
