About the role
The SZC Prefabrication Deputy Package Manager will be responsible for the prefabrication of offshore prefabricated concrete structures (named as Ramps) that will be constructed as part of the offshore works at Sizewell C project, Marine and Tunnel portion. These heavy civil works structures, weighing over 1,000 Tonnes each, will be prefabricated prior their shipment to the Sizewell C site. The successful candidate will
play a vital role in both the pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring seamless execution, quality control, and successful project delivery.
The Ramps scope of works includes:
• The design, procurement & supply, construction & removal of the prefabrication facilities (including
temporary works, equipment and plant).
• Project Management of the prefabricated elements of Ramps (offshore structures) to be built at
Avonmouth hub, in Bristol. This will cover the management of self-delivery activities as well as the
subcontractors at the hub.
The role requires a high level of interfacing between internal departments, multiple subcontractors and suppliers
What you'll be doing
The SZC Prefabrication Deputy Package Manager will be responsible for:
• Lead and manage the assigned package, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
This management is coordinated with the Fabrication Project Manager of the hub.
• Collaborate with direct reports and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of project tasks.
• Reviewing interfaces with adjacent activities and ensuring that they are properly coordinated and
communicated to the Preconstruction Leads and Avonmouth project management team.
• Organising and leading regular site progress meetings with all involved parties to monitor progress,
quality and safety, ensuring the Fabrication Project Manager and Avonmouth Project Manager are
updated on all issues.
• Working with the commercial team and wider team to review the packages tender information and
subcontracts and comment where appropriate.
• Working with the procurement team to supply the required equipment and materials.

Who we're looking for
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
• A successful track record of leading heavy civil work within a construction site, as well as logistics
process of storing and delivery of civil works. Management of self-delivery and subcontracting
activities is required.
• Preferably experience in prefabrication of heavy civil works for Nuclear projects, or equivalent large-
infrastructure projects with highest standards of Safety and Quality in UK.
• Highly desirable experience with lean management and civil works for marine/offshore projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders.
• Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial
management, change management and facilitation.
• Control of costs; risk; schedule and changes.
• Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain
effective networks.
