They work as trusted partners, creating better solutions and experiences for their customers, communities, and colleagues.About the opportunity:This is a superb role in which you will lead the Holcim Major Projects (HMP) Pre-Contracts function within Australia and New Zealand (HANZ) with the objective being to successfully execute the bid process from pipeline through to handover to Operations by:• Development/generation/coordination of HMP tender activities inclusive of cost model generation and approvals, tender submissions and completion/submission of tender and pre-tender documentation.• Developing an in-depth understanding of sales pipeline management, business development, project cost estimation, technical, commercial and scope clarification and tender submission writing.• Developing project specific strategies and methodologies, having a focus on exploitation of non- price and value engineering opportunities that articulate the value gained by partnering with Holcim.• Developing and maintaining Customer relationships in Strategic, Technical and Operational roles to ensure the Customer's opportunity pipeline, market strategy and organisational capabilities are understood.• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders including, Area Managers and functional support roles across all states (i.e HR, HSE, Logistics, Procurement, Technical etc).• Identifying and communicating market trends and insights, gained through price tracking of won/lost projects for Holcim, its competitors and customers.• Monitoring trends across key HMP segments and ensuring strategies are developed and kept up to date to best position Holcim to compete in targeted segments.• Continual improvement of project execution and delivery through various means such as information sharing, training, mentoring, auditing and the development of project delivery procedures and tools.Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request.About you:Relevant degree / advanced diploma / post grad qualifications in construction materials technology and production (desirable).Construction industry qualifications in estimating, tendering and business strategy proposals (desirable).Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Concrete, Aggregates and Concrete Products (desirable).Credible experience in Business Development, Key Account Management, Tendering or Contracting within the construction materials industry.Management experience in relevant construction materials business and/or project portfolio management >$150M.High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google suite.You will thrive on engendering solid business relationships and be level-headed and down to earth with exemplary standards of ethical conduct and professional judgment with a positive, resilient, curious and goal orientated nature.
