The Lancashire Emergency Duty Team is looking to recruit 1 full time permanent Practice Manager. Grade 10 £44,711 - £49,764 plus out of hours enhancements.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team, committed to providing a professional service responding to statutory emergencies and other social work matters within the Childcare and Adult arenas that cannot be safely left until the following business as usual day.
The Emergency Duty Team operates outside of core business hours and provides an Out of Hours service across Lancashire.
Ideally, applicants will be Senior Social Workers or above, with a minimum of 4 years front line childcare experience. Experience of adult safeguarding will also be advantageous, however training and support will be provided.
The team is comprised of 1 Team Manager, 4 Practice Managers, 12 Social Workers, and is supported by a number customer service advisors.
The Practice Managers will when required, undertake some Social Work tasks to support the team in providing a robust out of hours Social Work service across Lancashire.
An EDT Practice Manager works to a rolling rota across a range of shifts covering evenings, weekends and bank holidays, to which appropriate out of hours enhancements are paid. Out of Hours enhancements are calculated in accordance with hours worked outside of core business hours. There will be a requirement for flexibility, to ensure the team retains sufficient management cover across its shifts, such as covering sickness.
The successful candidate can expect full management and peer support, regular supervision and access to a wide range of training opportunities.
The Lancashire Emergency Duty Team covers the County of Lancashire, with the exception of Blackpool and Blackburn, and is based at Lancashire House, Enterprise Way, Accrington. However, the team currently work from home during the week and from the office base in Accrington, Lancashire at weekends. This arrangement remains under constant review, to ensure the team enjoy a healthy work life balance, as well as continuing to meet business need.
