Lowesmoor House Vets, a small, friendly, and close-knit team, are looking for a Practice Manager to join their dedicated team.

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting both our clinical and non-clinical teams by providing vital administrative assistance. Your duties will include scheduling the rota and arranging shift cover, processing overtime, payments, and managing debt. You'll also oversee health and safety checks to ensure compliance, handle initial complaints, and lead the non-clinical client care team. Additionally, you may assist with reception duties when needed and collaborate with managers from other teams within the IVC group. As part of your responsibilities, you will manage our 4 part-time receptionists, contributing to the smooth operation of the practice and helping to foster a positive, supportive work environment.

Are you the right fit?

Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication and IT skills, with previous experience in a veterinary practice preferred. However, we will also consider candidates with backgrounds in customer care, financial management, or diary management. You should have a proactive approach to team management, with a willingness to lead and support your colleagues. The ability to manage rotas, handle annual leave requests, and promote team well-being is essential. Additionally, you must be a confident and approachable communicator, capable of addressing complaints and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Flexibility is Key

This position is ideally suited for someone who is flexible with their working hours. The role is for 20 hours per week, typically worked over 3 or 4 days. We're happy to work with you to accommodate your needs-whether you prefer working school hours, varying your start times, or adjusting your days off. We may also ask for your flexibility in covering shifts on reception or contacting clients outside of regular hours if needed.
