Practice Development Team Manager

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Development Team Manager to support the Service Manager to deliver, develop, and influence high quality social work strengths-based practice that promotes positive outcomes for people who draw on care and support within adult services.

You will support with delivering the Making a Difference Every Day Strategy and embedding the practice framework, alongside undertaking practice audits, ensure areas of good practice are identified and provide expert advice to frontline staff and managers.

This is also a valuable opportunity to influence change and work closely with the Policy and Quality Assurance Team and Strategic Safeguarding Unit to embed the Quality Assurance Framework.

You will be a welcome addition to the team if you are passionate about social work practice and supporting the people of Kent to live as full and safe a life as possible.

You will need to have extensive post-qualification experience of front-line social work practice and hold excellent people management skills. The successful candidate will manage a team of Practice Development Officers and provide support as directed to the Consultant Social Worker and Newly Qualified Social Work Supervisors who work within the Practice Development Team.

You will have a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.

The position is a Countywide Role with an office base in Maidstone.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
