Position overview

As Delivery Director, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our legacy of excellence. Your responsibilities encompass four key areas: Project Delivery, Delivery Operations, Client Leadership, and Business Proposition and Growth. Reporting directly to the VP of Commerce and working alongside the Commerce Management team, you will be the driving force behind project success, operational effectiveness & efficiency, client satisfaction, and the company's continuous growth.

Role & responsibilities:

Project delivery

  • Oversee the Project Management (PM) team, ensuring the successful delivery of our e-commerce projects. Projects must be delivered on time, within budget, and meeting scope requirements.
  • Drive continuous performance improvements across the delivery team, whilst proactively defining those KPI's with the VP Commerce and the Commerce Management Team.
  • Assume ownership of the delivery process, actively seeking ways to customise and enhance it to meet the unique needs of our clients and our agency.
  • Collaborate with the VP Commerce in the development of contracts and agreements for client work, ensuring project feasibility and alignment with our clients' business Delivery Operations
  • Work with Commerce Management team to ensure that our teams are structured optimally, considering both size and capabilities, to effectively handle our program of work and pipeline while maintaining strong profitability for the business.
  • Take charge of the resourcing plan, tooling, and recruitment of staff for project work, ensuring that our teams are equipped with the necessary skills and resources for Client Partnership
  • Serve as the escalation point for delivery -related issues, actively addressing and resolving them to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Management team and Account Owners to foster strong client partnerships that contribute to our business's This entails a focus on both long-term opportunities and immediate client needs.
  • Promote strategic client management across the delivery team to enhance client relationships and achieve sustained client success.
  • Business Proposition & Growth
  • Collaborate with the VP Commerce, the Commerce Management team and the Head of Growth in developing business propositions and growth strategies that facilitate the expansion of our capabilities, geographic reach, and product/service offerings.
  • Play a central role in pitches and new business proposals, with a particular focus on owning the delivery component to ensure project feasibility and success

Qualification & skills requirements

  • Proven experience in leading and managing delivery teams in the field of e- commerce web design and development, with a track record of successful project
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to business planning and
  • Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in ecommerce/software project delivery and
