About the role

The purpose of this role is to lead local event management projects and act as a conduit between Lotus vs local media/press networks to protect and strengthen Lotus's brand identity in support of global brand awareness, customer experience and sales volume goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute local communications initiatives to grow local media relationships and drive high impact local press coverage.
• Lead and develop local events and PR initiatives to curate effective local influencer, partner & ambassador working relationships that deliver impactful local press releases and maximise Lotus's local editorial share of voice.
• Plan, oversee and evaluate local events in support of sales volume and brand awareness goals.
• Translate event content to secure cultural relevance, credibility and build customer trust.
• Oversee and deliver the planning and execution of local marketing, social media, and community management activities.
• Work in cooperation with the Brand Communications Manager to align and contribute towards effective communications for dealers.
• Budget responsibility within the area of responsibility.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

In order to set you up for success, we look for the following skills and experience:

• Significant PR and Events expertise in a similar role and practical working knowledge of the PR landscape.
• Strong people management experience.
• Strong storytelling, mass communication and editing skills including presenting, writing for print/ online media, internal reporting.
• Able to identify, monitor and mitigate potential risks and propose strategic solutions to leadership team members.
• Superior strategic planning and commercial acumen skill to think strategically and tactically plan the delivery of local events from proposal to delivery (considering expected return on investment, quality and budget thresholds).
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent problem solving and stakeholder management skill to influence, build and manage productive relationships.
• Strong budget management, research, and evaluation skills.
• Resilient: Thrives whilst working in a sale driven & fast-paced environment, under pressure and to strict deadlines without compromising on accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Working experience in the automotive and/or luxury industry.
• Significant established relationships with media contacts.
• Experience with BEV.

Other:

Remains flexible to travel when required and for varying durations of time.
