We're hiring a PR Director to work from our office in Manchester or Leeds.

Role Purpose

You'll lead within the PR team, part of our integrated Total Search Community, collaborating closely with SEO, Social, Studio, and Research teams. You will head up a team of digital PR specialists and deliver high-performing digital PR strategies through creative ideas, a strong news sense, and high-quality content. Your work will align with SEO performance goals, demonstrating true impact for our clients.

As a leader of a PR team with varying levels of experience and knowledge you will be required to oversee team delivery, QA work and lead the development and training of the team.

We want an individual who is willing to challenge the way we work, our thoughts and processes. Digital PR is a moving feast and how we operate as a team needs to reflect that. You will be responsible for evolving our digital PR proposition alongside the other PR directors and looking at how we measure team and individual performance and target setting.

We're also looking for a strong leader, one who people look up to as you'll manage 2-3 Managers who will in turn manage a team of executives and assistants.

We'd require you to work with each specialist AD and their respective disciplines to upsell, grow and drive accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead up to four key client accounts as the strategic PR lead, ensuring excellence in delivery and performance. Champion cross-functional collaboration to integrate PR with SEO, creative, and social strategies.

  • Line leadership, goal setting and performance reviews of 2-3 Managers
  • Talent managing, including training, talent identification, recruitment, and review processes
  • Deliver innovative, award-winning PR campaigns on a consistent basis
  • Work with the SEO team to Identify the right strategies for clients, supported by a good reporting framework to show performance
  • Creation of regular case studies, post-campaign analysis and reflection materials
  • Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to generate new revenue
  • Process development and implementation
  • Seeing product innovation from idea to roll out
  • Contribution to our industry reputation through industry awareness
  • Lead PR contributions in new business pitches. Develop thought leadership content to elevate our industry profile.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous experience working at an agency delivering incredibly high standard of work
  • Proven track record at dealing with clients at a senior level
  • Examples of high performing (digital) PR campaigns across multiple industries and clients
  • Great leadership traits, including line management
  • The ability to coach and mentor team members across different levels
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in PR and SEO performance tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, BuzzSumo).
  • Curiosity around the way that AI / LLMs are changing the brand comms landscape
  • Very strong communication skills both internally and externally
  • Quick thinking and be able to react well to change and challenging situations
