Job Description
The Portfolio Support Manager forms part of our Supplier Management & Communications sub-team within our Procurement team. The role will include setting up webinars, writing articles for our intranet site and creating content for different channels such as our 'Heathrow doing business' website, SharePoint, our CompeteFor microsite, our supplier guide and social media.
The role involves a range of internal communications within Heathrow and external communications with our supply chain, both relating to procurement.
One of our strategic objectives in procurement is called 'Lift Off', whereby we aim to attract and work with small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The Portfolio Support Manager will produce communications and relevant material for the day, for example, the event booklet.
Responsibilities
- Leading on SharePoint design, build and development related to Procurement
- Leading on all procurement related communications internally within Heathrow or externally to our supply chain
- Leading on producing, updating and improving the Procurement communications strategy
- Creating content for various channels, including webinars, intranet site articles and social media
- Supporting our Lift Off events through developing brochures, booklets and communications and creating digital content during and after the event. E.g. video, photos.
- Working collaboratively to produce our Supplier Newsletter
- Working with our internal communications teams at Heathrow.
Qualifications
- Understanding of project scheduling and planning
- Previous experience working with Poppulo and Adobe products, including Indesign, Photoshop, and Lightroom
- Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent communications skills both written and interpersonal gained through working in a role working with both internal and external stakeholders
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Experience creating and maintaining SharePoint sites
- Experience using Canva software

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
