We are seeking a dedicated Portfolio Manager to lead the development of our next generation of AI products. This role will oversee the Simon Says portfolio of solutions, an initiative aimed at enhancing consulting and business operations within Control Risks with AI supported initiatives.
Responsibilities include the development and implementation of AI products, focusing on aligning product outcomes with business objectives and ensuring they meet both market and user demands The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting the overall portfolio strategy, each product strategy, guiding the product development teams, ensuring appropriate governance and controls, and ensuring the alignment of product features with strategic business goals. This role demands a commercial and analytical mindset, an understanding of AI technologies and the ability to understand the complex work of Control Risks. They will ensure the launch of AI enabled solutions that are innovative, user-centric, and commercially impactful to the firm.
Requirements
What You'll Do:
Define and Execute Strategy:
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Simon Says roadmap and strategy for Control Risks, collaborating closely with stakeholders in DTS, Strategy, Corporate Services, and Job title - Department Portfolio Manager: SDCs. This includes setting the product vision for each product in the portfolio and ensuring it aligns with the company's overall strategy.
AI Governance:
- Accountable for with various accountable functions to ensure the establishment and support the enablement of AI governance structures (AI Council) to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulations and responsible use guidelines.
Product Development:
- Responsible for lead ideation, business case development, technical development, launch, adoption and benefits realisation of innovative AI products under the Simon Says portfolio. Define product roadmaps and schedules in collaboration with technical teams in DTS and business teams across the firm.
Adoption:
- Responsible for ensuring that all products developed under the Simon Says portfolio are adopted and used by the business. This includes tracking performance measures, measuring and reporting on benefits as they are realised and adjusting strategy and execution if benefits are not being materially derived.
Metrics and Measures:
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of a data driven measure of product performance to track usage, adoption and benefits realisation.
Project Management:
- Accountable for overseeing and steering the product development process, including delivery within budget, scope, and project timelines. Manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and updates.
Technical Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure underlying foundations are built to the highest standards. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define product specifications.
Technical Sustainability:
- Accountable for working with various stakeholders and functions to ensure that production solutions are scalable, secure and appropriately supported for a global organisation such as Control Risks.
Team Management:
- Manage and run an AI application team to build, support, and maintain products within the Simon Says portfolio. Support would also include providing guidance and advice to "citizen developers" as the organisation matures in its approach and adoption of AI.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Responsible for fostering strong relationships with executives, key stakeholders, and external partners to support product development. Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to senior management and various team members.
Market Analysis:
- Responsible for analysing AI trends and competitive conditions, ensuring communication and thought leadership in this area. Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for AI applications.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay current on developments and improvements in this rapidly evolving technology area. Continuously explore and learn new things to develop oneself and others.
Partnerships:
- Accountable for working closely with Microsoft to leverage their AI investments, align with their CoPilot roadmap, and ensure maximum benefit from the relationship.
Communication:
- Communicate and elevate AI success stories to executives and business leaders, ensuring executive support for AI initiatives.
Who you are:
- Proven capability of collaborating with senior stakeholders and end-users, quickly building successful relationships and establishing credibility.
- Exposure to product and portfolio management, complex prioritization, and technology project delivery.
- Experience with leading AI and data-enabled products & services, with the drive and determination to continually explore, learn new things, and develop oneself and others in a rapidly developing technology space.
- A self-starter, comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
- Displays innovative leadership behaviours - coaching the team, self-organizing, transparent, respectful to people's working styles, motivating.
- Experience in running user workshops to explore ambiguous ideas and concepts, refine options, and identify business value.
- Experience in managing, leading, or working with multiple multi-disciplined technology teams.
- Demonstrable experience of working with clients, internal & external stakeholders.
- Experience in automating customer and internal business processes using modern low-code and no-code tools and techniques (such as CoPilot, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint).
- A background in technology, engineering, and/or IT
- Exceptional written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders, and senior management.
- Excellent analytical and prioritization skills Ability to be flexible and change priorities quickly based on business importance
