Job Description

Support our business by delivering technology-based solutions to business challenges and opportunities by leading a focused team of project managers and business analysts. Responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring that projects align with the company's strategic objectives, are appropriate prioritised and scheduled and delivered on time, within budget, and provide value to the business

Qualifications

Your role as Portfolio Manager

  • Manage, prioritise and schedule a portfolio of projects based on their alignment
    with business goals and strategies
    • Manage portfolio level dependencies, risks and issues across projects to ensure
    the portfolio is delivered within budget and on schedule
    • To lead project management and business analysis best practice across the team
    to deliver successful projects
    • Management of a team of internal Project Managers and Business Analysts and
    external Project Managers and Business Analysts if required
    • Work closely with the Core Delivery & Data management team to deliver
    excellence in end to end project delivery
    • IT Business Partner lead for assigned business functions
    • Creating and maintaining all project documentation and project plan templates
    • Identifying and managing project portfolio scope, objectives, & critical success
    factors
    • Tracking and reporting project portfolio progress to stakeholders with a focus on
    budget, scope, resources, and schedule
    • Leading the identification of critical dependencies and risks likely to impact cost,
    time, and quality, early in the project life cycle
    • Ongoing management and mitigation risks, issues and dependencies, escalating as
    appropriate and owning them through to resolution

    project process
    • Experience of Portfolio Management, management of prioritises, dependencies,
    risks and issues across multiple Projects
    • Significant experience of full project lifecycle Waterfall Project Delivery
    • 3rd party vendor management
    • Excellent stakeholder management experience, able to work with and influence
    managers across the organisation
