The Allianz Global Investors Development Finance and Impact Credit team is offering a position in the London office, which will give you the opportunity to work across a breadth of impactful private debt investment opportunities. The team's strategies target sustainable and high-impact investment solutions - allowing commercial investors to direct their capital in a way that can make a positive and measurable difference in the world.

You will focus on supporting the structuring, credit analysis, documentation and execution of debt investments across both our emerging markets and Europe-focused strategies. Thus, prior relevant deal experience is the principal screening criteria for the position. You will have a global scope and significant cross functional interaction.

This role will be based in London.

The start date will be November/December 2025.

What you will do

Investment process:
• Participating in origination activities including relationship building with partner institutions
• Assessing the initial attractiveness of investment opportunities: conduct benchmark pricing and preliminary credit analysis assessing fit against investment guidelines
• Running the financial modelling with the ability to project different scenario by challenging key assumptions
• Reviewing and analysing available due diligence materials, and sourcing and evaluating independent research and comparables
• Preparing investment memos for presentation to the Investment Committee
• Collaborating with internal parties (e.g. Operations/Risk/Legal/Accounting functions) to ensure the successful execution of the transaction
• Supporting in the investor reporting of existing investments in the portfolio

Others:
• Supporting the preparation of materials for investor communication whether in the context of reporting or fundraising
• Assisting with updating existing investment proposals or presentations (where required) for upsizing mandates, and any ad hoc presentations or requests received from time to time
• Facilitating relationships with other teams including Investment committee members, product specialists and support functions (risk management, legal, operations, compliance, products, etc.)

What you bring

• 2-3 years' work experience preferable in the following areas:
o Development Finance
o Private Equity or Private Credit
o M&A, Structured Finance team of a leading investment bank
o Debt advisory
• Experience in and passion for emerging private markets investments (debt or equity, in a principal or advisory capacity) is ideal
• Prior experience in financial modelling, financial and/or credit risk analysis and drafting
• Experience and interest in sustainability or impact investing a plus
• Solid academic track record
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Microsoft CoPilot. Experience on Bloomberg is a plus.
