Detailed job description and main responsibilities
• Providing complex analysis to support Trust staff at all levels, offering guidance and interpretation to ensure the analysis is both appropriate and useful. Producing comparisons, trends, summary and narrative and investigating any areas requiring further investigation, ensuring analysis methodology is documented and a systematic approach is taken, whilst highlighting challenges in data quality, completeness and/or interpretation of management information as appropriate.
• Utilise experience, knowledge, judgement and skills to develop and improve information reporting systems for operational and strategic monitoring of patient based information in line with National data requirements and definitions. This will be achieved using a variety of reporting tools and a combination of advanced procedures in MS Excel, Access and SQL Server.
• To take an active role in the development and production of detailed reports to fulfil requests or identified needs of Trust Managers, clinicians and operational staff, including the establishment and maintenance of routine population health reporting through the Trust's BI system.
• Provide advice and specialist knowledge to define Trust wide and external PHM information requirements and establishing appropriate reporting mechanisms.
• Proactive in the initiation of information analyses, suggesting information reports, scenario modelling, interpretation and forecasting trends, providing analysis and advise on information for future programmes of work and service delivery.
• Summarise complex data sets and information and presenting findings to various technical and non-technical groups including delivering formal presentations to large groups where necessary.
• Monitor best practice developments nationally and internationally in the use of intelligence to support PHM, including the use of forecasting, modelling and predictive analytics, and proactively promote the use of relevant best practice across the Trust and ICS.
• Ensure that there is a continual provision of a high level of customer service.
• To ensure that Information Governance and Data Protection are adhered to in relation to the provision of information.
• Ensure line management responsibilities are delivered in line with Trust policy, whilst developing plans to attract and retain the best staff within the discipline in order to build as strong a team as possible.
• Work with other members of the team to assess and develop improved working practices and make changes as necessary.
• Participate in both Trust and P&I meetings and training where required.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
