Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Newcastle office for this position (frequency to be discussed at interview).

We're recruiting a Policy Validation Analyst to join our Fraud Team in Claims Management. We're looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for delivery and developing their own skills in a fast paced, extremely busy counter fraud team. You'll be curious in nature, with the ability to challenge when something doesn't quite add up.

Acting as a fraud subject matter expert and referral point across the business, you'll contribute to the development and delivery of the insurance fraud prevention and detection strategy, embedding business process improvements and measures to detect and prevent application fraud across our Home and Motor portfolio.

As a Policy Validation Analyst, you'll have experience in the detection and prevention of application fraud and will possess the ability to recognise the risks that are inherent in these areas.

You'll also add value to the team by voicing ideas, showing a willingness to learn and develop your skills and technical knowledge and by representing Tesco Underwriting at external forums and conferences.

The Role

• Working across the Home and Motor product lines, you'll provide advice and support for customer service when dealing with policies with a suspected fraud element.

• Work with internal and external intelligence to detect and prevent fraud.

• Collaboration with industry peers, counter fraud bodies, and law enforcement is key in the fight against fraud.

• Attend industry conferences and events, building mutually beneficial relationships to enable sharing of industry best practice in the counter fraud space.

• Participate in industry working parties and intelligence sharing forums to inform best practice and gather intelligence, sharing the outputs internally where appropriate.

• Working within the National Intelligence Model and data protection regulation you'll adhere to strict dissemination rules to ensure that intelligence is shared with the right audience on a strictly need to know basis.

• Provide regular education and outreach support for the business, to drive fraud detection and awareness.

• You'll use various counter fraud software packages and tools to assist investigation.

• Create intelligence profiles to support fraud investigations.

We need you to have

• A working knowledge of general insurance underwriting is essential.

• Organisational skills, ability to manage own workload and diary are essential.

• Must have some fraud awareness.

• Must be able to work well with others and as part of a team, the key to fighting fraud is collaboration.

• PC literate - Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint etc. must be comfortable using multi-platform systems.

• Confident communicator - lots of training sessions to deliver, presentations etc.

• Able to build relationships at all peer levels - stakeholder relationship management.

• Be accountable for maintaining own development through attending industry conferences, internal and external courses, CII and / or counter fraud professional qualifications.

And if you have any of these

• Experience in counter fraud desirable, although must have some fraud awareness.

• Experience of using counter fraud software and OSINT / social media desirable.
