PMO Manager - 12 month FTC

You'll work within the Group Transformation function as a member of the Enterprise PMO management team. The role will work across the Group Transformation change portfolio to lead on support, governance and assurance services across the Group Transformation delivery portfolio. You'll also establish a Centre of Excellence to establish best practice and identify continual improvement opportunities across EPMO and delivery services.

  • Working rota - Monday to Friday, 12 month fixed term contract
  • Working hours - 40hrs per week

What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with the Enterprise PMO Director, Enterprise PMO Manager (Programme and Projects) and other Group Transformation leadership colleagues to effectively manage the change portfolio.
  • Manage PMO Analyst resources to ensure effective operation of portfolio level processes.
  • Support the QA of Enterprise PMO outputs to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Review and identify opportunities to improve portfolio processes delivered as part of PMO Service catalogue.
  • Review and identify opportunities to improve assurance processes to support effective change delivery across programmes and projects.
  • Manage the continual development, roll-out and adoption of Enterprise PMO processes to Group Transformation Delivery teams and wider JD stakeholders to ensure understanding and adoption of the Service catalogue.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risks and issues management, guidance and maturity of Enterprise PMO services.
  • Create Executive reports to show portfolio performance including key performance and financial KPI information at relevant portfolio forums.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the development of performance information creating reports to demonstrate portfolio performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of reporting outputs using existing PPM tools, additional capability and manual processing.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities around relevant metrics to report on effective portfolio performance across change delivery.
  • Define development plan for direct reports to include objective setting, performance monitoring and development courses aligned to performance and progression aspirations.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years PMO Management experience.
  • Experience in the ongoing development of governance and assurance processes across programmes and projects to support effective portfolio management.
  • Experience in implementing project and change management methodologies and approaches in waterfall and agile environments.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing improvements in programme and project planning to drive critical path, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements and forecast at portfolio level.
  • Experience in supporting improvements in effective reporting framework to demonstrate assurance against delivery success across a complex change portfolio.
  • Experience of working with and supporting senior level stakeholders.
  • A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to adapt at short notice to the needs of the projects.
