On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a PMO Analyst (Planning) for a 12-month contract based in Derby (Hybrid-3 days per week in office).

Purpose of the role:

Join the Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Office (PPMO) team as PMO Analyst (Planning and Dependencies). You will work on ensuring effective sequencing and control of delivery plans across the Digital & IT portfolio. You will manage dependencies at portfolio and program level, identifies potential pinch points and blockers, and provides insights to enable informed decision-making.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain portfolio-level plans, ensuring sequencing and alignment across multiple programs and projects.
  • Identify, track, and manage interdependencies, risks, and potential delivery conflicts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Provide clear communication of pinch points and blockers to stakeholders, enabling proactive mitigation.
  • Support resource planning and demand management processes to optimize portfolio delivery.
  • Collaborate with PMO colleagues and delivery teams to ensure planning standards and governance are consistently applied.
  • Contribute to portfolio reporting and insights for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PPMO processes and capabilities, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach by assisting with tasks outside your immediate remit when required, helping to ensure the resilience and effectiveness of the team.

The skills you'll need:

  • Proven experience in dependency management across projects and programs within a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio planning and resource management principles.
  • Experience in Primavera P6.
  • Ability to identify and communicate interdependencies and risks effectively.
  • Experience in project management or project analysis within large-scale transformation programs.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across multiple teams and levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities within a PMO setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, support team members, and contribute to a positive team culture.
