Pay Rate: £39,000.00 per year (plus 12% shift premium 18:00 until 22:30)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any Five from Seven, Lates 14:30 until 22:30
Location: Bedford MK32 9AB

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including the storage and dispatch of volume orders and goods.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• To supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customers
• To directly assist the warehouse operatives by initiating, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all warehousing activities
• To manage and implement productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports
• Complete 121s and ensure daily routines are carried out effectively

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous managerial experience (shift manager or step up shift manager)
• working in a large site
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be preferred and well-received.
