About the role
We are looking for a Shift Manager to work in our BRAND NEW Play Xperience Activity Centre!
you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional standards of service as our guests navigate around the various activities, café and bar in the brand-new Play Experience. Each day you will be allocated responsibility for all areas of either ground floor made up of our Reception, Escape Rooms, Lazer Tag, Neo Games, Batting Cage, VR-Cade and the Café. Alternatively on the first floor, made up of Shuffleboard, Digi Darts, Glow Pong, Tech Putt, Reception and the Bar. Driving sales and creating memorable experiences for our guests will be key to your success.
You will be responsible for delivering maximum yield on activities ensuring all guests can always enjoy everything that the Play Experience has to offer. You will be hands on supporting your team with the delivery of both activities; F&B and at the reception taking activity bookings, training, coaching and supporting Team Members to deliver memorable activities to brand standards, taking all opportunities to deliver F&B targets along with maintaining compliance in Food Safety, Health and Safety and Fire Safety. You will take responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the building.
You will support the Manager to implement, manage and review processes for ensuring that our team are as fulfilled and supported as they can be whilst at work, making sure that they are competent in the role, as well as feeling they can be themselves in the working environment.
Typical working hours cover 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including weekends with a variety of shift available between 8am - 11pm.
About You
We are looking for a passionate leader that enjoys both guest and team interaction and working to consistent standards. You will focus on the team experience through training, coaching and development whilst being able to balance this with keeping our guest experience at the heart of your decisions. You should have excellent communication skills and be confident engaging with teams at all levels.
You should also have a curious mindset and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
