We're hiring for a Planning Partner as part of our Carat London hub for one of our biggest clients.

Purpose of the Role

As Planning Partner you will be responsible for delivering excellence in our communications planning, focusing on driving continuous improvement in the communications work that we deliver for clients in order to deliver better business outcomes and closer, more valuable relationships.

This role focuses on delivering a brilliant blend of brand and performance activations to ensure campaigns are a success. You'll be dedicated to client business, and responsible for partnering with the broader planning/account management teams, the critical senior client contacts, and with all relevant dentsu capabilities (in particular data and activation) to deliver communications solutions that deliver better returns for the clients' businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for quality of planning product across relevant brands and clients, making the very best use of our data, tools and capabilities to deliver people-based communications decision making.
  • Driving responses to key business challenges, in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams within Carat and across dentsu
  • Responsibility for developing test and learn frameworks that help clients to evolve their brand building models, capturing and sharing best practice across the agency and the network, in case study format, and using this to win awards and drive reputation.
  • Delivering intelligence and inspiration to our clients that shape their point of view on their business challenges and of dentsu.
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with your clients, ensuring good TRR scores. Specific areas of focus is your clients opinion of our ability to drive consumer understanding and consistent improvements in business value through communications.
  • Mentoring Assistants through to Associate Directors within your team in all aspects of planning - not to deliver it all yourself but to create sustainable value by developing the skills of those around you.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Experience in a media planning role with a strong track record of coming up with and delivering innovative campaigns
  • Able to build data-driven decision making and to make the best use of external, client and agency proprietary data sets and approaches.
  • Strong skills in persuasion and selling of your ideas and communications plans to clients.
  • Skilled in mentoring and developing individuals from a wide variety of disciplines, cultures and backgrounds.
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable with data and drawing insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent ability and proven track record of working with clients at a senior level to advise on the strategic direction of their communications and its ability to deliver business value.

What we offer

This is a permanent role. The team is based in our London office but operates under flexible working arrangements. You'll be on site either at Dentsu or with the client 2-3 days per week, with flexibility around client needs.
