The Role
We are looking for a Planning Account Manager to join the Mindshare team to support Ford ESO markets (inc. Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Finland, Poland, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary), deliver best in class (BIC) client service, media and marketing planning expertise and operational excellence.
A digital native and expert in cross-channel video, programmatic, search and social media, you'll own the plans for some of the markets and have close support with your Planning Director as your day to day line management.
With a strong sense of professional curiosity and interest in developing your knowledge of issues within the digital and media industry, you'll provide a knowledgeable point of view on matters that are currently being debated and that directly impact our client's broader business (not just live campaigns and markets).
Essential Criteria
- Experienced in multi market media planning & activation, with understanding of, and ability to, converse in multimarket planning concepts.
- Well versed in cross channel media planning (with a digital focus on social, search & programmatic) and knowledge in how digital and offline media connect to drive performance.
- Understanding of both upper and lower funnel demand media planning capabilities and how to take comms planning principles into activation plans fluidly.
- Experience in campaign reporting to clients and understanding relevant media KPIs linked to campaign and business objectives
- Excellent client facing communication & presentation skills.
- Experience in forecasting & scenario planning across channels to deliver to client
- A thorough understanding of how digital media supports and integrates with other media channels, both owned and paid and a collaborative approach to working with specialist teams to design plans.
- Capability to withstand challenges on proposed planning views and decisions
- A natural problem solver who is able to prioritise and multitask, whilst adding value to the immediate and wider teams.
Desirable Criteria
- Hands on knowledgeof planning tools such as yougov, search trends, internal reporting dashboards, data visualization & analysis tools
- Ability to advise on planning approaches
- Consultative approach to client engagement, media planning & measuremnt
- Established connections and contacts within the local network.
Responsibilities
A key member of the media planning team on the account, this person will be responsible for:
- Strong collaboration across core disciplines with an understanding of the connection between planning, strategy & activation.
- Develop the Communications plan and brief channel experts for detailed media executions.
- Partnership with Activation teams to translate 360 plans into meaningful, integrated, biddable and locally relevant direct buys to meet KPIs & outcomes.
- The go to source for channel planning and performance for continuous improvement.
- Lead day-to-day contact with local market clients
- Be responsible for delivering client KPI's, results and targets for selected local markets (with support from the Planning Director)
- Deliver the highest level of account management (meeting deadlines, reporting accuracy, project management)
- Present communications recommendations, ideas, and implementation plans to clients.
- To research new media ideas and opportunities including growing your own network of trusted media owners.
- Deliver insightful reportingand providing advice on how to optimise performance across all media channels.
- Detailed and up to date knowledge of the client's business, objectives, key personnel,structure, competitors and marketplace.
- Organising reporting for all campaigns (on pre agreed cadence).
- Ownership and resolution of all finance, accounts and invoice queries for selected local markets
