The Amazon Flex EU team is looking for an analytical, results-oriented person to drive Flex planning across businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the breadth of activities covered by the Flex planning function for UK, executing these activities with excellence, and continuous improvement for scale.
This is a highly visible and critical role that requires partnering with a cross-disciplinary team of program managers, ops managers, marketing managers, data scientists, engineers, product managers, finance partners and executives across businesses. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, passionate, highly analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior inter personal and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently to drive growth and change in a fast-paced environment. Bias for action and dive deep is an absolute must, and candidates must demonstrate a superior track record of delivering results. You must have sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically with a long-term vision about this fast-growing space, while being able to execute on tactical details.
This role requires a high level of writing, judgement, influence, and ownership. You will lead with data to persuade others, own and develop strategic partnerships with internal and external customers. This means, you must be an excellent communicator and write engaging narratives and present them effectively.
Key job responsibilities
- Own multiple processes within EU planning function.
- Perform Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly deep dive on metrics. Provide path to green where applicable.
- Own key metric forecasting for annual and quarterly planning cycles.
- Create EU wide processes that help deliver on cost, fill, performance and DPx goals in partnership with business teams and central operations. Drive process improvements / standardization in partner teams to deliver on this goal.
- Represent Flex as a channel in business/ partner reviews. Voice concerns and drive leadership decisions to mitigate issues.
- Drive automation / process improvement / cost initiatives
- Interact with senior-level audiences (including directors) from both internal and external teams
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using managed ML/AI solutions
