We're hiring for a Planning Manager to join the Dentsu X team in London.

Purpose of the Role

As Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic media plans and client servicing on a selection of exciting brands within dentsu X, this role will focus on a portfolio of spirits and a retailer. You'll partner with clients, external agencies, as well as internal teams within dentsu to foster great relationships and deliver innovative, impactful, data-driven media plans that drive brand fame.

You will develop a deep understanding the clients, their business/brand, their customer, industry and who their competitors are. You'll support the Client Director in delivering outstanding planning through challenging client briefs to ensure clarity on objectives, delivering outstanding integrated comms planning process and executing innovative communication solutions and project managing the team to deliver excellent execution of clients comms plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the client's comms plan; provide innovative communication solutions for your clients with the support of the AD
  • Keep pace with change, continuously working to make sure self and team are at the forefront of current and future industry and client thinking, to deliver fresh client solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and across the team to work collaboratively and effectively in order to deliver brilliant plans and service.
  • Be the 'gatekeeper' for quality control and the first port of call on day to day queries and questions and plan progress, manage budgets and timelines, lead internal status meetings, provide external stakeholders with accurate and relevant plan details and content.
  • Utilise all Dentsu X planning and insight tools to compile required data, analysing information to provide clients with key insights eg competitor strategy, how their customers consume media, target measurements etc.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Experience within a media role or agency, client facing is preferable alongside people management experience.
  • Experience developing media strategies across the full media landscape, including AV, digital, OOH and partnerships.
  • Well-versed in media planning within an agency environment and experienced with planning tools.
  • Experience managing annual high-level budgets with multiple campaigns / bursts.
  • Excellent client stakeholder management, skilled at translating information between clients and media teams to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Clear and effective communication style.
