The Role

This role coordinates all site production planning, focusing on achieving 100% on-time, in-full customer order fulfillment while maximizing efficiency by reducing machine changeovers and optimizing labor and inventory.

Success hinges on managing the existing Hellenic and Excel-based planning systems, and identifying and implementing integrated software solutions for daily optimized planning.

The ideal candidate will have experience with integrated planning systems and a strong grasp of machine, labor, and material utilization. Building effective relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers is also crucial.

Duties Include:

As a key member of the Site Senior team, you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure site success.
  • Implement a fully integrated planning system.
  • Develop and manage production schedules and inventory based on sales forecasts.
  • Ensure on-time, in-full product delivery.
  • Plan all manufactured products accurately, optimizing capacity and labor to meet sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to maximize output and minimize waste.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Commercial, Logistics, Technical, and Production teams to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory levels, and service performance.
  • Build strong relationships with Commercial and Operational teams to enhance forecasting and meet customer needs.
  • Analyse and plan for raw materials and packaging to avoid production stoppages.
  • Manage claims for raw materials, storage, and transport deviations efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Commercial on product phasing, promotions, and orders to optimize production planning and line utilization.
  • Supervise, develop, and train the planning team to meet the company's future needs.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in a FMCG environment in a Planning capacity
  • Strong experience of supervising / managing people
  • Experience of managing inventory levels and budget/cost management
  • Knowledge of planning systems and suppliers.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Proficient IT user
