ROLE OVERVIEW

In the role of Planning & Buying Manager you will be working within the fast-paced and exciting Dentsu OOH Planning & Buying team and within that, part of a sub-circle assigned to a particular agency group. The role will report into the Agency Partner.

The role will work across their own portfolio of clients with the aim of taking the lead on key accounts.

The role will work with the Agency Partner to ensure OOH Planning & Buying on allocated clients delivers consistently high-quality solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for all Planning & Buying output on allocated accounts
  • Responsible for attending briefing meetings, taking and interrogating the OOH brief. Aim to be the 'go to' expert in OOH by your allocated agency/client, with support from the Director on more complex OOH briefs.
  • Responsible for fully understanding the Dentsu OOH commercial agenda set by the CMO and ensuring these are adhered to in the planning & buying process.
  • Responsible for creating full OOH responses at a high level working through all the stages of the planning and buying process.
  • Engaging with and using our proprietary platforms and tools, including ECOS.
  • Understand audit and pricing guarantee processes and ensure this is adhered to on campaigns, with support from Agency Partner
  • Responsible for managing positive pro-active relationships with key agency/client contacts on allocated accounts.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with major industry changes and be proactive in increasing diversified revenue on OOH plans.
  • Responsible for working with the Agency Partner to build effective working relationships and practices with key media owners
  • Responsible for checking the quality of output of the Planning & Buying Executives/Assistants.

REQUIRED BEHAVIOURS & SKILLS

  • 1-3+ yrs experience working in either client servicing, project or account management roles or in a similar advertising / media role - Previous OOH experience not essential but highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft programmes (Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel etc.).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to identify any issues/opportunities to line manager, internal departments, agency contacts and media owners in good time.
  • Strong relationship management to ensure good day-to-day working relationships with agency contacts, media owner partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek the opportunity to present plans and solutions to agency/client contacts both face to face or on conference call
  • Strong team player but with the capability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions
  • Excellent organisational skills to ensure ownership, prioritisation and completion of tasks effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail
