Their founders bring years of experience in applying data and analytics to Real Estate, their primary market, spent years leading technology efforts in Silicon Valley and London startups. They have 2 fullstack teams with the technolody stack PHP/Laravel, Typescript, React, Microservices on Docker and K8s. They are building additional separated BE and FE teams.

The Role:

As PHP Tech Lead you will take charge of shaping the technical direction and driving excellence in team's software engineering practices. We are looking for seasoned professional to lead the way in building high-performing and scalable applications.

Responsibilities:

• Set the technical direction and manage the technical roadmap, addressing technical debt, architecture, technical stack, and SDLC efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout all stages of development, from design to release and monitoring, ensuring the incorporation of best software development practices.
• Work alongside Product Owners and other stakeholders to execute the technical roadmap, negotiating and aligning technical priorities with business objectives.
• Standardize technology and technical documentation across teams, fostering consistency and efficiency.
• Provide vision for the technical stack, staying abreast of trends and best practices, and ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Mentor and grow engineers through feedback and guidance, fostering their professional development.
• Effectively communicate and escalate technical issues and risks to stakeholders, advocating for solutions that prioritize technical excellence.
• Champion technology and developer experience, advocating for improvements and enhancements that elevate our engineering practices.

Requirements

• Solid experience in software engineering, particularly in building back-end applications.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing architecture for large and complex systems, with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Hands-on experience with microservice architecture, as well as scalability and performance tuning of web applications.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems.
• Mastery in PHP7/8 and object-oriented programming, with familiarity in Laravel in a production environment.
• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience with Cloud platforms and automatic deployment pipelines, leveraging tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Comfortable providing feedback and experienced in developing people in various technologies.
• A hands-on approach to solving technical challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
