What you'll be doing

Welcome to the Boots Central Support Pharmacy team - an exciting team within The Boots Group which is at the heart of our growth plans as more patients look to us for online fulfilment of their prescriptions. This team sits within the Pharmacy Logistics function and plays an important role in the supply chain and works with the Online Dr team. As patients' needs have changed, so have we: focusing on really understanding and adapting to what our patients really require when making decisions about how they access and obtain their medication. We're making the most of our Boots.com platform to optimise the online prescription journey, drive growth and provide an experience for our patients that demonstrates our drive to provide an exemplary service for patients to easily manage their prescriptions. Exceptional patient-centered care is at the heart of everything we do and as a Dispenser you'll be part of helping patients feel good.

As a dispenser working in the Boots Central Support Pharmacy you'll dispense medication for patients who have placed an order through our Online Doctor service, and supporting other Pharmacy based operational projects.You will help manage private prescription orders. This is a non-customer-facing role due to growing demand and you'll be a core member of the Pharmacy Team. Operational hours Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm. Weekends and Bank Holidays are required. We are looking for you to support for the 10am-6pm shift pattern and includes weekend working. The rate of pay for a qualified dispenser is £13.92per hour.This is a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference to the lives of our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Using the Boots online platform to manage patients' prescription orders

• Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and preparation of orders for dispatch through our Home Delivery proposition

• Complying with legal and professional requirements and accepted guidance on professional practice in Boots

• Delivering efficient dispensary operations and ensuring dispensing losses are minimised

• Undertake any other reasonable functions within the framework of the dispenser role as directed by our team of Pharmacists and the Assistant Operations Manager

• Other tasks done daily/weekly include stock replenishment, date checking and exception counts. We also operate a clean as you go practice within the BCSP.
