Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in St Andrews MC in Spennymoor.

This community pharmacy is commutable from areas around County Durham and is located in a medical centre. It has an excellent relationship with the attached GP surgery.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

  • It dispenses 3,500 items a week,
  • It provides a wide range of services including NMS, Pharmacy First (covering 7 most common conditions) Contraception Service, Supervised Consumption. EHC. Stop Smoking Vouchers. .
  • It provides services to 30 substance misuse patients and 6 care homes with 200+ beds
  • It dispenses 100+ community blisters.

This pharmacy is open 8.30am until 6pm , Monday - Friday The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of a Team Leader (Pharmacist Only Role), 2 x Accuracy Checking Technicians and Full experienced team (consisting of one NVQ 2 Trainee)

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.

You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.

You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You'll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we've put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
