The role

The Service Lead role sits within Group Technology Corporate Services. The Service Lead will oversee the performance and delivery of eTribez, ITV's third-party production finance system, integrated with Oracle Fusion ERP. This role acts as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless system integration, compliance with ITIL and ITGC controls, and the adoption of continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of ITV's production finance processes, how eTribez and the wider technology ecosystem support these processes, and leverage this knowledge to propose innovative solutions and system improvements.

Strong business engagement and stakeholder management are key to this role, alongside close collaboration with other Group Technology Service Leads (e.g., for Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM) to deliver a consistent and coherent service across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Relationship and Service Management

  • Responsible for all aspects of the eTribez service.
  • Act as ITV's primary point of contact for the eTribez vendor, building strong relationships to align service delivery with business goals.
  • Ensure seamless integration between eTribez and Oracle Fusion, maintaining system reliability and financial alignment.
  • Monitor and report on vendor performance, including SLAs and KPIs, driving service improvements and producing timely updates on risks, opportunities, and performance.
  • Lead escalation efforts for vendor-related service issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimise operational impact.
  • In partnership with ITV's procurement team and the business owners, manage contracts, renewals, and amendments, ensuring adherence to commercial agreements.
  • Serve as the lead for major incidents, coordinating rapid response efforts with third parties and internal teams to restore service with minimal disruption.
  • Facilitate regular service reviews with stakeholders, users, and senior management to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Integration and environment management

  • Provide deep understanding of eTribez functionality, platform configuration, and API integrations with Oracle Fusion to support troubleshooting and resolution of complex incidents.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Administrator on reconciliation activities, integration testing, and timely resolution of financial discrepancies.
  • Oversee eTribez system updates, release management, and environment coordination, ensuring alignment with Oracle Fusion's release cycles.
  • Partner with business GPO, Systems Administrator and SMEs to assess release scope and impacts, identifying opportunities for leveraging new eTribez functionality.

Compliance and risk management

  • Ensure vendor compliance with all regulatory, security, and ITGC standards, recording and monitoring risks as part of the audit cycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with system and vendor performance.
  • Conduct audits and maintain IT compliance documentation to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Review eTribez release notes and collaborate with business stakeholders and GPO to identify and implement new system functionality that supports business needs
  • Supporting the Business Owners with continuous service improvement initiatives, ensuring technical changes following Technology inhouse processes.
  • Audit and maintain the knowledge base and configuration management database (CMDB) for compliance and up-to-date system documentation.
  • Work closely with GPO and business stakeholders to manage small system changes and demand activities that enhance system performance and usability.

Stakeholder and cross-functional collaboration

  • Provide regular updates on system performance and vendor management to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the GPO to actively gather, prioritise, and implement stakeholder feedback to drive system improvements.
  • Foster collaboration with other Group Technology Service Leads to ensure seamless service delivery across finance and HR systems.

Key experience you will have (key criteria)

  • Demonstrable experience acting as a Service Lead (or similar title) managing IT application services within multi vendor ecosystems. Able to demonstrate experience at managing both BAU incidents and a continuous improvement pipeline to manage stakeholder satisfaction. Understanding of ITIL concepts such as SLAs, incident management etc.
  • Experienced problem solver able to dive into complex situations and drive a way forward. Demonstrable experience of understanding complex system landscapes and the flows of data/integrations between. Ability to get hands dirty with technical issues when necessary.
  • A proven track record of learning and understanding functionality of COTS tools and/or SaaS products. Understanding of concepts such as REST APIs, environment refreshes, config deployments etc. Proactive in researching, exploring, and implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Familiarity with the Financial systems - ideally project accounting and financial reconciliation. Basic understanding of ERP concepts such as General Ledger, Project Accounting, PTP etc.
  • Experienced vendor management, in particular working with a vendor to inform and influence a product in active development.
  • Ability to communicate expert insight with a non-technical audience and to provide situational updates to management as required.

Good to have

  • Oracle Fusion experience.
  • E-Tribez or a similar Production Finance system experience.
  • Production Finance business process experience in a similar media organisation.
  • ITIL qualification.
