The Marcomms group is accountable for all brand development and marketing / consumer PR activity for UKTV's eight brands; including primary responsibility for the recruitment and retention of audiences, both linear & digital, live & on-demand. As part of this, the group has responsibility for all customer and trade marketing relationships / activities across all UKTV and BBCS advertising and distribution partnerships in the UK.
New brands, products & services, and new routes to market (especially digital) are an increasingly important driver of growth and the Marcomms group has a significant role to play in going beyond the company's existing activities, to reach new growth audiences and deliver growth.
In short, the group is responsible for advancing the popularity, reputation & growth of UKTV's brands, products & services. The group is comprised of 5 business teams, totalling 90+ people: 1) The Marketing team, 2) The Creative team, 3) The Media Planning team, 4) The Social Media & Online team, and 5) The Communications team.
Purpose of the role
This critical role provides first class support to member of the Marcomms Leadership Team. Having complete responsibility for efficient diary management, ensuring the effective juggling of commitments & priorities, this person is a vital point of contact and a key liaison & conduit of information between the Creative Director and other senior leaders / managers and the wider business.
The role is part of a wider collection of PAs across the business and will therefore work in close partnership to help coordinate activity across the team, contribute to team unity and ensure a common culture & ways of working.

- Experienced in providing PA support at a senior level, in large and complex team structures; dealing at times with highly sensitive & confidential information.
- Proactive and confident; willing to speak candidly and constructively challenge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people at all levels across the business internally and externally.
- Strong, demonstrable administration and IT skills with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft packages and an advanced understanding of MS Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services.
- Inspires trust & confidence amongst colleagues.
- Demonstrates an awareness of the various business sensitivities and reflects this in their approach to problems and issues that arise.

What you will get to work on....key outputs and responsibilities of the role
- Complete responsibility for diary management and management of inbox, ensuring priorities are flagged and actioned.
- Uphold complete confidentiality, and act as a key confidante for the team.
- Attend and play a proactive role in the Marketing Leadership Team forums, assisting in managing relevant meetings; including capturing & circulating key actions & decisions.
- Organises all meetings both internally and externally; including calendar management, agenda circulation, ensuring key attendees are present, preparing any necessary documentation etc.
- Arrange venue hire and travel where necessary, including overseas travel.
- Field enquiries and own the management of all incoming correspondence for the department via telephone, post and email.
- Be proactive in adapting to different needs and suggesting new and innovative procedures, approaches.
- To help harness and foster team spirit, including the organisation of team events and activities.
- Use the "Core HR" system to a) collate and process expenses on behalf of the team, and b) organise and approve holiday requests & sickness days for the team, on behalf of the CMO.
- Provide top-level, "light touch" T&E tracking & reporting for the total group in aggregate, with support from Finance, in order to give the Directors an overview of spend & activity across the whole team.
- To work with the internal communications team in the delivery of UKTV's all-company events including the annual end of year event, staff parties and strategy updates - from event planning to event production, and partnering with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ad hoc involvement in special projects as required &/or desired.
- Providing ad hoc PA cover to other teams within the business as and when necessary.
