Permanent Contract | £41,173 to £45,442 per annum (Scale K) | 37 hours per week | County Hall

The Highway Services Team are looking for an experienced manager to assist in the delivery and management of all aspects related to Norfolk's Streetworks Permit Scheme. This new post will complement the existing Norfolk Permit Scheme Manager post and is required to provide resilience to the service.

A key part of this new post will be to further explore the feasibility of a Lane Rental Scheme in Norfolk, liaising with other Highway Authorities, developing a business case for possible implementation, and managing a future project if agreed to be the right approach for Norfolk.

As part of the Highway Services Management Team, you will offer advice and support relating to technical, performance, and financial matters linked to street works activities and the Permit Scheme. You will therefore be required to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the associated legislation to ensure that Norfolk County Council is fully complaint and consistent as legislation changes.

You will be required to liaise with nplaw relating to the production of associated witness documentation, provide technical help and represent Norfolk County Council at Court relating to Fixed Penalty Notice prosecutions.
