Newport City Council are currently looking to recruit to the position of Peripatetic Deputy Manager within our Adult Residential Homes Service and are seeking applications from individuals with care management background.

We are committed to providing quality person centred care for people living with both physical and mental health issues; we provide accommodation, care and support over four sites.
&• Parklands Residential Home, Malpas for up to 26 people 11 long term general residential beds & 15 short term rehab and assessment beds
&• Blaen Y Pant House, Malpas for up to 32 people 31 long term enhanced residential & 1 respite bed, mainly catering for people living with dementia
&• Spring Gardens, Pillgwenlly for up to 32 people - 31 long term enhanced residential & 1 respite bed, mainly catering for people living with dementia
&• Centrica Lodge, Gaer for up to 6 people 6 respite beds for adults living with complex needs including learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and disabilities.

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, confident and enthusiastic Deputy Manager, you will need to be a team player and someone that has the ability to motivate others to ensure we maintain the highest standard of care in line with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care Act consistently throughout the homes.

As a Peripatetic Deputy Manager you will work across all four sites to support services in times of mangers absence and where workloads are high. You will support the Residential Homes Manager in ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales and Social Care Wales regulations and requirements.

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, be computer literate and well organised, possess strong supervisory skills and have the right qualities required to lead and motivate a staff team.
Qualified to at least Level 5 in Health and Social Care (Adults) or equivalent and be registered with the Registration Authority (Social Care Wales)

You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days to include bank holidays and every other weekend. Your days of work will be set but your shift time and place of work will vary, you must therefore be able to travel to all four of our sites and be able to work be tween the hours of 06.45am and 10.15pm
