Performance Marketing Manager
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Paul Smith is one of Britain's leading independent design companies, driven by a spirit of curiosity, playfulness, adaptability and passion. These values shape every aspect of the brand, whether it's a shirt, a shop or a special collaboration. Reaffirming the values that Paul set down in 1970, 'classic with a twist' remains the guiding principle of the company. Happily positioned between high fashion and formalwear, while taking reference from both, Paul Smith has always been proud to stand apart.
We have a brand new opportunity for a Performance Marketing Manager to join our Digital team in London. Reporting into our Head of Digital Marketing, you will lead the planning, execution and growth of Paul Smith's global paid media programme across paid search, paid social, display, affiliates and influencer marketing. You will operate as a trading function, aligning paid activity to the commercial plan and achieving clear revenue and efficiency targets. You will also lead our agency partnerships at operational level, ensuring they are maximising the impact of our spend.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Performance Marketing professional who would like to make their mark and achieve considerable online growth for Paul Smith.
What you'll be doing
• Own the global paid media plan across paid search, paid social, display, affiliates and influencer marketing, translating it into market-by-market activation plans with clear targets and budget allocation.
• Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual budget pacing across all channels and markets.
• Set, track and deliver hard performance KPIs (ROAS, CAC, contribution margin, new versus returning customer mix and revenue contribution) and produce regular performance reporting for senior stakeholders.
• Manage the agency relationship at operational level, holding them to plan, briefing campaigns and quality-checking activation.
• Lead market expansion in priority territories, particularly the US, identifying incremental growth opportunities and building the test plan to unlock them.
• Lead the measurement and attribution agenda across paid channels, including platform reporting, attribution modelling and incrementality testing.
• Drive the test and learn agenda across paid channels, covering creative, audience, bidding, geo and platform tests that build lasting performance gains.
• Partner with Creative and Brand teams on paid creative, and with the wider Digital team on landing page and on-site test plans.
• Work alongside the CRM & Loyalty Manager to align acquisition and retention strategies, with shared accountability for new customer LTV.
• Coordinate with Buying & Merchandising and Trading teams to align paid activity with stock priorities, margin considerations and full-price sell-through.
• Manage and develop the Performance Marketing Assistant Manager, providing direction, coaching and clear performance objectives.
• Stay up to date with platform, measurement and emerging channel developments and make the most of new opportunities.
Who you are
• Proven experience managing performance marketing strategies for a premium fashion, lifestyle, or luxury brand.
• Strong hands-on expertise across paid search (Google Ads) and paid social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest).
• Confidence with attribution, incrementality testing, and platforms like Triple Whale or equivalent.
• Proven track record of delivering against hard performance targets (ROAS, CAC, contribution margin).
• Experience managing significant paid media budgets across multiple markets.
• Comfortable managing agencies, mentoring direct reports, and presenting to senior stakeholders.
