Job Description

The Performance Manager is responsible for implementing the Paid Search and Performance Media strategy for De Beers Jewellers, leading performance media across Direct-To-Consumer, Omni-Channel KPI's and overall brand and client strategy.

The role manages Performance Media globally, directly leading the US, UK and France and working with local markets to accelerate the role of search and performance media in China and APC.

The Performance Manager will work in close partnership with VP E-Com & Digital to define and lead the Performance Media Strategy and work holistically across the e-Commerce & brand team to build a one search approach.

  • Management of the DBJ Paid Media strategy, focusing on PPC, PMAX, Shopping, Demand Gen (Paid Search) across key geographies UK, US and France.
  • Support China Ecommerce Paid Media Strategy in partnership with local market team aligned to brand strategy and paid media objectives.
  • Global budget management of Paid Media aligning investment to commercial objectives and brand priorities.
  • Responsible for management of targets, forecasting and pacing working with external agency partners and/or markets.
  • Responsible for commercial performance of Paid Media for DTC channels.
  • Lead a robust action plan of optimization to drive Paid Media effectiveness and performance e.g. campaign structure, ad copy, landing pages, targeting, feed optimization.
  • Deliver tactical recommendations across channels, formats, audiences, keywords & creative to drive Paid Media KPI's.
  • Build a holistic approach to search to build clear and actionable user journeys across awareness, consideration, and conversation by persona/channel.
  • Day to day management of global performance media agency and relationship.
  • Collaborate with core functions within the Global e-Commerce team; SEO and CRO to build optimization frameworks that enable and deliver performance media objectives.
  • Collaborate with Brand team to build a connected DBJ approach to brand media.
  • Work closely with Insights/Analytics team to ensure reporting, tagging and attribution modelling are aligned and implemented.
  • Report on Paid Media performance, owning internal reporting and managing agency reporting/dashboards; weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Foster relationships with key ad platform partners like Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, ensuring alignment that benefits the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Execute paid search/shopping optimizations including ad copy tests, title testing, and keyword; define a clear learning agenda for each season to ensure a continual test and learn approach
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword, feed and audience opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, redirects, meta data, and copy suggestions
  • Keep pace with search engine and SEM industry trends
  • Work cross-functionally with site brand, product, and merchandising team to develop keywords and content for site and marketing
  • Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Online marketing-specific experience with demonstrated success in managing paid search and performance media.
  • Luxury brand experience desirable.
  • Proven experience using Google Ads Manager & analytics to drive insights to actions across campaigns and optimization.
  • Ad Management; Google, YouTube. Programmatic Ads, Meta
  • Feed Management
  • Analytics; GA4,,Content Square, GTM.
  • Results-driven with detail and knowledge around metrics and ROI analysis to deliver commercial performance.
  • Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of marketing funnels, attribution, and conversion journeys
  • Ability to identify issues and be pro-active in providing solutions, able to move at pace and work agilely to drive actions to execution.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills essential, ability to analyse, quantify and present analytics/data
  • Sees the main patterns, themes & linkages in information and broader implications
  • Generates several alternative options & makes a well-reasoned decision based on an analysis of the risks & opportunities
