Over 8.5 million cases of Baileys Original and Baileys Flavours leave the gates of these two sites every year, destined for over 130 countries worldwide. This role is based at Baileys Mallusk packaging facility in Belfast.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Performance Improvement Lead at our Baileys Mallusk site, you will:

  • Drive operational excellence by implementing strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Deliver measurable cost savings aligned with Diageo's business goals.
  • Influence team performance by fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new ways of working and challenging the status quo.
  • Shape long-term processes that strengthen our business and support sustainable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Zero Stops & Zero Waste through cultural change initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations and Packaging leaders to boost line performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Service).
  • Lead and coach MMS practices on the line or hall level.
  • Solve plant and process issues using Loss & Waste analysis, RCPS, DMAIC.
  • Equip line teams with troubleshooting skills to improve efficiency.
  • Turn performance data into actionable insights for weekly planning.
  • Support a continuous improvement mindset across T1 & T2 levels.
  • Lead strategic improvement projects using 5Why, DMAIC, and Lean methodologies.
  • Drive the Loss & Waste agenda with clear priorities and data-backed strategies.
  • Support capital projects as the main interface for asset and process improvements.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively across all levels of the plant.
  • Experience in a process-driven environment, with proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders to drive organizational effectiveness.
  • A consistent track record of using manufacturing excellence tools such as 5S and Lean Six Sigma to deliver measurable improvements.
  • Willingness to develop professionally, including working towards a NEBOSH certificate if not already held.
  • A passion for leading change, driving operational improvements, and delivering tangible business benefits.
