The Leven teams package a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, blended whiskies, gins, vodkas and rums to supply over 180 countries around the world.

About this Role

The Performance Improvement Leader (PIL) role works in partnership with Operations and Functional teams to deliver key initiatives to improve business performance. You will be a performance partner to operations managers and team leaders to ensure that any improvements identified & implemented are standardised and sustained within our operational teams.

You will engage daily and weekly with operational and team meetings to provide experienced analysis of performance improvement opportunities. This will require excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills in order to inspire your team to deliver World-Class performance. The PIL will actively promote, enhance and drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques with our packaging line teams.You will provide mentorship, advice and support to multidisciplinary teams on trouble shooting tools and Lean Operational Excellence practices.

Other key responsibilities will be;

  • Leading, sponsoring or coaching strategic improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology. (eg 5 Why, Yellow Belt, Green Belt etc)
  • Leading the loss & waste agenda to provide data & performance insights and a clear strategy to prioritise improvements.
  • Supporting capital expenditure projects - Being the key interface with contractors and project engineering on asset and process improvement projects.
  • Coordinating and effectively delivering training and coaching of continuous.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant.
  • Experience working in a production environment with evidence to demonstrate ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver improved business performance.
  • A proven track record of utilising continuous improvement tools and techniques across practices like 5S, set up time reduction, Lean six sigma, DMAIC, and Asset Care.
  • To have or be willing to work towards a NEBOSH or similar Health and Safety Qualification.
