The Role
This person will lead key accounts strategically and act as a linchpin to deliver holistic and comprehensive digital media output on behalf of our clients. This role works collaboratively with other practices within T&Pm whilst also harmoniously orchestrating the various specialist performance teams within the agency (including the Integrated Digital Activation, Performance Planning, Data & Technology and Business Intelligence).
They will be responsible for the overall direction of media initiatives across their business unit and will have a direct responsibility for meeting brands' business objectives through adopting a performance mindset and instilling this behaviour across the whole team, across all clients who will sit within their business unit.
They will provide leadership and support to both clients and wider agency practices, and will be supported by Heads of Departments and junior (Integrated Digital Planning Manager & Integrated Digital Planning Executive) members of the team to drive innovative digital solutions that answer client challenges. The role requires the ability to be forward thinking and deliver award-winning digital activity.
As well as requiring strong generalist knowledge across all digital disciplines, the role involves working with multiple clients/brands across a range of categories and sectors, so strong organisational skills and good knowledge of categories will be key.
Outside of client work, they will have a responsibility to focus on growing revenue across their team, ensuring it operates efficiently and is resourced effectively to maintain high quality output and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Owner and lead of digital media strategy across allocated business unit
- Accountable for planning and activation of all digital media.
- Oversee day-to-day performance ensuring business and marketing objectives are hit and clearly reported on
- Work closely with the client teams, cross channel planners and strategists as well as clients and other client stakeholders (Creative/PR agency) to ensure that overall campaign performance activity drives towards key business objectives
- Collaborate to integrate performance, audience management and the overall KPI framework
- Work with the channel leads and digital activation specialists to deliver performance roadmaps, testing frameworks and plans delivering to client KPIs whilst ensuring that insight is at the centre of all planning and delivery
- Nurture efficiency within digital media management at both client and team levels, with clear focus on process, best practice and technology deployment in line with T&Pm POV
- Accurately forecast across integrated, multi-channel campaigns with focus on meeting client KPIs and targets
- Setting annual vs ongoing strategy and goals that drive client's business performance
- Review resourcing required within all areas of digital media planning - including job descriptions, interviewing and feeding into personal development reviews.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Technical Solutions and Group Products/ Tools to position customer/client sales data into media recommendations and optimisation of campaigns
- Work with the Performance leadership to ensure the team is resourced correctly
- Provide direct support and feedback to your AD(s) to develop their talents
- Create development plans for all direct reports
- Ensure a consistent, welcoming onboarding experience for all new starters
- Work with the leadership team to create development and succession plans for the team
- Support accurate and timely billing
Skills and Experience
- A proven record of successfully managing and delivering against challenging digital KPIs
- Experience in managing and developing a team of digital specialists
- Process orientated
- Proven success in managing multi-stakeholder clients
- Ability to prioritise and manage a large team
- Deep knowledge of landscape, technology and operations of digital media
- In-depth understanding and successful implementation of agency and group products and tools
