Job Description

We're recruiting for a Performance and Recognition Manager to join us. You'll play a pivotal role both through contributing to how we evolve and seamlessly integrating our performance and recognition strategies with our new reward strategy and broader organisational change. You will be a key driver in our mission to cultivate a high-performance culture across L&G by leveraging your expertise in enabling change and executing through the HR network, building capability, and technology.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the Group Head of Performance, Recognition, and Reward Innovation, and Head of Reward, Global Retail in the evolution of the conceptual and strategic design of the performance framework
  • Drive the execution of the performance cycle in close collaboration with the Reward Team to ensure a holistic performance and pay review experience globally, and act as the key advisor to HRBP and other business stakeholders as a SME on performance and recognition
  • Support the continuous improvement and exploration of technology platforms to enable the performance cycle, including calibration, and own the relationship with Reward Gateway in partnership with the Benefits Team and explore how technology can further facilitate recognition across L&G
  • Support the integration of the performance framework with our behaviour framework and reward structures, to ensure we are treating customers fairly and delivering good customer outcomes
  • Develop tools and resources to increase the cultural engagement with, and adoption of, feedback to focus on personal development and improved performance of our people
  • Drive the continued improvement of the employee, line manager, and HR experience as it relates to the performance cycle, including partnering across the HR function and developing analytics and insight with the Employee Insights and Analytics Team
  • Support the development of a holistic recognition strategy for the Group with a focus on increasing meaningful engagement and continuous improvement to deliver ROI
  • Collaborate closely with divisions to ensure thoughtful consideration of recognition activations at all levels of the business, and deliver the L&G Annual Awards nominations and event in partnership with the Events Team

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Knowledge of annual performance and recognition processes and policy
  • Understanding of broader changes in organisational strategies, including the new reward strategy, behaviours, and organisational priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication at various levels with ability to present clearly and credibly to audiences of varying seniority
  • Experience of engaging HR and working through dispersed teams to deliver change
  • Highly organised and able to plan and manage parallel projects and drive global processes
  • Numerate - adept at analysing information/insights
