We are seeking a dynamic People Services Director to drive the transformation of our core people services and deliver highly efficient, innovative support across our operations. This newly created role will lead the development and implementation of best-in-class people services that improve leader and employee experiences while ensuring core compliance and people risk management.

Key Responsibilities

As the People Services Director, you will:

  • Develop and implement a core people services strategy that supports our ambitious business growth and workforce needs, encompassing areas such as onboarding, employee relations, reward, and more.
  • Lead continuous improvement across all people services and support frameworks, including processes, policies, training, and technology, ensuring optimisation of efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with IT to leverage automation and digital technologies to enhance service delivery, efficiency, and the overall employee experience.
  • Oversee the provision of quality employee relations services to enable better leadership capabilities while managing risk.
  • Partner with the data and analytics team to deliver meaningful people MI, insights, and reporting that drive business decision-making.
  • You will lead a high-performing People Services team of approximately 25, focusing on personal leadership, team development, and a strong alignment with Helping Hands' strategy and culture. As part of the senior leadership team, you will influence internal stakeholders and drive overall business success.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Proven leadership experience in People Operations within a high-growth, multi-site, customer-first environment.
  • Experience in developing shared services functions and leveraging market best practices.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, onboarding, people change, risk management, governance, and people data insight.
  • High commercial acumen and strong influencing skills, able to engage with senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Highly customer- and service-focused, with a proven ability to lead large, high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of people systems, process optimisation methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma), and third-party supplier management.

Desirable

  • Experience in the care sector or regulated industries.
  • Broad HR experience, including reward, diversity and inclusion, and talent development.
  • Specific project management qualifications or experience.
