About the role

As our People Relations Manager you'll lead our People Relations team, ensuring the effective delivery of our employee relations strategy and exceptional advisory support across British Heart Foundation (BHF) in line with best practice, our cause, and our People Experience.

Working collaboratively with others in the HR management team and wider People and Organisational Development (POD) directorate you'll create and deliver a seamless consistent experience and service to BHF with a focus on continuous improvement and best use of the HR Service Model.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you

CIPD qualified to Level 7, or with equivalent experience, you'll have previous effective high volume, complex and sensitive employee relations case work experience to Employment Tribunal level in a large multi-site organisation.

You'll have previous experience of leading an Employee Relations function, including the management of a team and their development, as well as be comfortable acting on data insight and providing regular and appropriate metrics and reports, when requested.

To be successful in this role you'll also have the following:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical skills, able to disseminate information effectively.
• Excellent project management skills, able to lead and deliver on People projects within a timely manner.
• Excellent influencing skills able to engage senior managers in decisions.
• Excellent IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to lead and motivate a team to deliver an excellent service and make HR a value-added function.
