The role will be based in the UK, and will be responsible for overseeing HR operations across our key locations in London, Glasgow and US.

This exciting opportunity requires an understanding of local employment laws and regulations in order to provide support and guidance to our diverse workforce. Your role will involve providing end-to-end HR support throughout the employee life cycle. This will include partnering with managers to offer valuable coaching and development opportunities. Your expertise will be
pivotal in fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring employee relations are effectively managed across all regions.

What will you do?

  • As a central point of contact, you will support team members through all stages of their employee experience (as early as pre-onboarding) and maximise their experience of working at The Drum throughout their career here.
  • Draft contracts, contract amendments and all other necessary administration needed for any type of employment change.
  • Maintain all processes in place, and regularly assess ways of working for maximum effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain HRIS (we use HiBob); producing relevant and accurate MI reports.
  • Coach managers through Employee Relations (ER) cases (conduct, performance, probation management, flexible working requests, grievances, family leave management, etc.) to successful outcomes.
  • Administer dependable payroll and benefits processes for new and existing team members across our two global locations. Able to make recommendations for changes to benefits suite.
  • Ensure the effective management of talent performance across all departments, working closely with line managers to achieve talent density within the business.
  • Draft and update policy & procedure documents proactively and in line with local country legislative changes.
  • Manage right to work and visa processes, ensuring we're compliant across all locations.
  • Own ad-hoc improvement projects, from conception to embedding.
  • Drive engagement via the Culture Club and the D&I group.
  • Manage and coordinate annual employee survey, making recommendations from analysis of results.

Requirements

  • Solutions-focused attitude with a real sense of spirit!

  • Ability to advise and influence different types of stakeholders
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise proactively
  • Experience leading small projects and embedding new initiatives
  • Recruitment and ATS management experience preferable. We use Workable
  • Able to balance a commercial, people and compliance lens in their work
  • Good working knowledge of employment legislation in UK (US desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience using HRIS systems and manipulating data
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Ideally CIPD L5 qualified
