People Development Manager

The Role

People Development Manager

We're looking for a passionate and proactive People Development Manager to shape and deliver a wide range of learning and development experiences across both our UK and global teams-with a key focus on leadership and management development.

In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with the business to consult, advise and lead on impactful development initiatives; designing and delivering team days, workshops, and learning programmes that truly make a difference.

Reporting to the Head of Learning, Development & Wellbeing, you'll play a central role in building a culture of continuous learning at ITV; empowering our people, growing capability, and helping our leaders thrive in a fast-evolving media landscape.

The team

This role sits within ITV's Resourcing and Development team, part of our People function. Our goal is to create a culture of continuous learning where all colleagues have the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours, while helping ITV remain an employer of choice in media.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery of a scalable Leader and Management Development offering across the UK and internationally
  • Working with HR Business Partners and direct to business to understand the needs of the business and co-create a plan and deliver development, including clear pre and post programme evaluation
  • Working with Head of Learning, Development & Wellbeing to gather internal and external data and insights to inform evolution of leadership development strategy and priorities
  • Working with key stakeholders to design and deliver team days at every level of the organisation
  • Working with external providers to design and deliver development content including measures of success and evaluation
  • Working with internal communications to drive comms campaigns, providing base copy and ideas to promote ITVs development offering to our leadership and manager population
  • Embed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion into everything we do- from training content to delivery, ensuring learning is inclusive, accessible and impactful.
  • Take a hands on approach to create engaging digital learning solutions that improve individual, team and business performance
  • Actively balance the needs of ITV and our colleagues, ensuring colleagues are skilled in their work whilst ensuring alignment to ITV's overall strategic priorities
  • Actively contributing to a culture of learning at ITV
  • Gather, analyse and act upon feedback on the learning experience
  • Be agile and responsive to the changing needs of the business and colleagues we serve
  • Build relationships with the training providers to ensure that all the programmes we deliver have clear learning objectives and are aligned to our broader leader, manager and all colleague offerings.
  • Maintain expertise and continued professional development - using external best practice to develop best in class development interventions

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven experience in designing and/or delivering leadership development programmes globally (ideally for senior leader populations), with a preference for design, delivery and measurement
  • Understanding of best practice leadership development approaches
  • Experience facilitating development programmes and team days at all levels
  • A strong track record of partnering and consulting with business and HR stakeholders to design and implement effective learning solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under pressure, within tight timelines and budgets

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Experience designing and delivering content with external providers, including evaluation and success measures
  • Experience with digital content tools such as Articulate or other eLearning authoring platforms
  • Knowledge of how to run effective virtual workshops, webinars and online classrooms
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across all management levels
  • Familiarity with assessment tools such as SDI, Hogan and leadership frameworks
  • A proactive and methodical approach with strong planning and prioritisation skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Resilience and adaptability when working through change and ambiguity
