Job Purpose and Summary

Pay -£65,000 -£70,000 dependent on experience.

What we ask
- Lead the People Development team and ensure that you build their skills and experience so they can learn and grow.
- The ability to build a strategy with the HR Director and HR Manager that fulfils our organisations needs (you can execute a thorough training needs analysis but also be focused on what will deliver the greatest impact for Canon.
- Design, deliver and curate material so that we offer impactful programmes to upskill and develop our leadership population.
- Manage the People Development Budget and ensure that we are getting the right return on that investment and putting effort into the critical growth opportunities and needs.
- Work with the HR Director and others to build-out the Canon Academy proposal.
- Ensure that Directors are delivering on their high potential's talent objectives.
- Identify and curate the right development programmes from external providers.
- Be an integral part of the HR Leadership Team - highly plugged-in and contributing to the strategy and the team KPIs. Be comfortable taking the lead on projects.
- Live and breathe our Kyosei, Belonging and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Principles. Work with our Employee Led Networks to support their development.
- Localisation of central talent management strategy, ensuring the process and methods are effectively implemented by HRBPs and directors.
- Design and deliver local development strategies to ensure we have the solid talent pipeline for success (from early-in-career to senior leaders).
- As a leader in the HR team be willing to network and promote the Canon brand and our key initiatives.
You will need
Essential:
- Excellent communicator, at all levels
- Enthusiastic team player
- A good sense of humour!
Desirable:
- Experience of leading a multi-skilled team.
- Experience in designing and evaluating learning, talent management and organisational design strategies.
- Proven delivery and coaching skills to senior level including experiential learning and facilitation.
- A passion for creating a link between business goals, employee performance, and training & learning objectives.
- Experience of working with external suppliers and consultants.
- Able to manage relationships with senior leaders, taking ownership and providing authoritative consultation.
- Ability to manage and control team budget.
Further Information
Salary - £65,000 -£70,000 dependent on experience.
Location- Stockley Park
We offer hybrid working for this role - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
