Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Administration Manager to join our vibrant Portsmoth office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a role.

The Role

As a Pensions Administration Manager with XPS you will:

  • Overseeing day to day management of client relationships with trustees and corporate clients, and participation in trustee and client meetings.
  • Ensure provision of high-quality pension administration and consultancy services.
  • Participate in strategic business changes.
  • Providing expert advice solutions to pensions queries and pensions consultative advice; keeping abreast of technical and legislative developments within the pensions industry.
  • Overseeing the project management of annual and ad-hoc projects such as renewals, benefit statements, pension increases, scheme returns, and trustees' reports and accounts. Ensuring projects are fully monitored and completed in line with customer and legislation requirements.
  • Taking responsibility for all aspects of admin billing, in conjunction with Operations Manager and/or Client Manager. Ensuring all recorded admin time is billed or accrued by the monthly deadline, all chargeable work is correctly recorded on the time recording system and billed as soon as possible, and all bills are issued and payment received on time.
  • Training colleagues with less experienced in the team.
  • Responsible for total workflow management for the designated team, including workload allocation, prioritisation and ensuring delivery in line with client expectations, legal timescales and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Formal staff management and mentoringresponsibilities.
  • Leading non-client activities, conducting internal audits, being alert to potential improvements in pensions administration processes, quality improvement and implementing changes

Your profile

Essential Criteria

  • Significant experience dealing with DB schemes within the pensions industry
  • Expert knowledge on pension administration activities and legislation
  • Previous supervisory, leadership and management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Office Products such as Excel and Word (or similar)
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A completed or progression within a relevant pension's qualification (applicant's deemed qualified by experience will also be considered)
