Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Client Development - UK to join our Peerpoint team in London to be responsible for leading and executing Peerpoint's client development strategy in the UK. This senior role is pivotal in driving sustainable revenue growth, enhancing client relationships, and positioning Peerpoint as the market leader in legal consulting. The role will lead the UK client development team, manage strategic accounts, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across A&O Shearman to ensure alignment with Peerpoint's strategic vision.
As a senior member of Peerpoint's team, you are visionary, adaptable and team-oriented. At a high level, this involves:
- Setting and delivering the UK client development strategy in partnership with the Peerpoint Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Peerpoint UK and the Peerpoint Global Head of Strategy, Growth & New Business Acquisition.
- Acting as the senior face of Peerpoint to clients - building trust, deepening relationships, and positioning Peerpoint as a preferred legal resourcing partner.
- Providing leadership across the UK client development function, ensuring the team delivers exceptional service, drives revenue growth, and maintains Peerpoint's market-leading standards.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Peerpoint Head of Client Development - UK is responsible for leading on the businesses' continued growth and approach to outperforming the interim legal market in the UK. Responsibilities include:
Strategic leadership
- Set and execute the UK client development strategy in alignment with Peerpoint's global growth objectives and AD&S priorities.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Collaborate with the Head of UK and the Peerpoint Global Head of Strategy, Growth & New Business Acquisition to shape the UK business plan and revenue targets.
- Represent Peerpoint externally as a senior brand ambassador at industry events, client forums, and media engagements (in line with A&O Shearman's media policy).
Client development & relationship management
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with GCs, Heads of Legal, Legal COOs, and other key decision-makers across strategic accounts.
- Lead strategic account management for the UK's most important clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Lead the full client lifecycle: from new business development and lead qualification to commercial negotiation and long-term relationship management.
- Collaborate with A&O Shearman partners and BD teams to ensure Peerpoint is integrated into broader client relationships and cross-sell opportunities.
- In collaboration with the Head of UK, the evolution of the feedback cycle on placements and Peerpoint's client and consultant listening program.
Commercial and price setting
- Continual assessment and review as to Peerpoint's unique selling proposition - ensuring it is current, market leading, understood and implemented by the team.
- In collaboration with the Contracts and Operations teams, responsibility for the UK businesses' implementation of commercial terms with clients.
- Review and setting of Peerpoint's pricing strategy for the UK market.
Team leadership & development
- Lead, coach, and inspire the UK client development team to deliver against individual, team, and business goals.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
- Support team training and capability building, including best practice sharing and process improvement initiatives.
Operational excellence
- Drive operational efficiencies across the client development lifecycle, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver targeted campaigns, thought leadership, and events that support client acquisition and retention.
- Forecast and report on performance metrics, KPIs, and revenue targets.

- Experience working with senior stakeholders and managing complex client relationships.

- Experience working across cultures and jurisdictions is a plus.
