Payroll Specialist

Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and administration for our colleagues.You will ensure accurate and timely payroll execution while complying with relevant laws and regulations.

Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to colleagues and managers on payroll-related matters and queries.

Day to day will include:

  • Process payroll accurately and timely for our 3 UK payrolls using our payroll system Dayforce.
  • Ensure the correct calculation of pay items and payroll adjustments, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies or queries promptly and effectively using our service ticketing platform, Service Now.
  • Generate monthly payroll reports and backup ensuring the maintenance of accurate payroll records.

Qualifications

  • CIPP qualification or equivalent or working towards a relevant qualification (preferred).
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a multi payroll hospitality or events industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension regulations.
  • Experience using payroll software, such as Ceridian Dayforce
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Havea drive to work with the team to embrace Dayforceand always look at ways to improve the way we work.
  • Haveworked in retail/hospitality/entertainment within payroll and has experience of an hourly workforce.
